Description: The habanero pronounced: hah bahn air oh, or, ah bahn air oh. The habanero is the hottest chile pepper you'll find. They are very, very hot. The oil in the habanero can be very painful if you get it in your eyes.
Unripe habaneros are green, but the color at maturity varies. Common colors are orange, red and brown.
The variety of the habanero called Red Savina holds the Guinness World Record as the world's hottest pepper, up to 580,000 Scoville units!
Uses: Add to sauces for the hot heat flavor. Used to spice Buffalo wings, salsas, sprinkle on Fish, Pork, Beef and Chicken.
Origins Habanero is produced in Northern and Southern regions of Mexico.
